Extreme extraction, part one

Amateur dentists tortured “Hindu” on Friday as they dug out plaque, drilled rot and extracted lead fillings. That’s how I imagined it, anyway. In the slideshow above, you can see I was right back at bung and screw removal so we could lift off another piece of the garboard. Luckily, this time, we could see no worms behind it. There was plenty more black goo to dig out, however. One of our contractors loaned me his mondo rubber gloves to wear as I scraped out the oily silt. We also found a part of a bilge pump, a plastic serving spoon and a penny down there.

I think your dentists analogy works quite well. Hmmm “find a penny, pick it up. All day long you’ll have good luck…..”
